Severe Knee Arthritis

John Jacobson

Two and a half years ago, John Jacobson had severe arthritis in his left knee. Dr. Faucett recommended a partial knee replacement, which was performed in April 2017. One year later, John participated in a 62 mile hiking event and then another 100 mile event in April 2019. His knee caused him no problems or pain. John’s recovery consisted of 3 weeks at home with 8 hours a day spent using a machine to bend his knee. At first he didn’t want the machine but Dr. Faucett insisted and luckily John listened. Now he thinks the machine had a lot to do with his recovery and how well he is doing. He actually thinks that his left knee is now better than his right knee. Thanks for sharing your story John!
